My work is an amalgamation of different layers of durational images. I put these experiences into my work with different paint mediums. I draw my conclusions for my methodology of painting through my observation of human connection. The experience of painting is something crucial to how I experience connection. It brings forth questions of identity where my intentions merge within arching abstraction and elements of figuration. Emotion and thought are constantly at a disconnect and connect. I draw my inspirations from the micro and macro. I entice these contrasts with Iconography and Abstraction. The icons becoming abstractions (Micro) and the figurative becoming the emotive element (macro). This is where the fleshy biological and mystical collide. In observing the work you begin to see a narrative, this is expressed within the figurative elements and the abstraction. The process of making the work is equally as important to me as the end result. In many ways this is how I see moments with people. An endless observation of oneself against the odds of another and where that in between is met is where the work merges.
